Today my Triton ICP results came back saying I have high levels of copper and tin.
Copper: 25 μg/l
Tin: 9 μg/l
I tore all of my pumps apart looking for rust; nothing found.
Cut open my Flipper scrapper; nothing.
No rust on any parts of the stand.
I use a 7 stage RODI system testing 0 TDS.
My zen reef frag racks have some slight “rust” on the magnets that are sealed in acrylic but they claim this is not leaching into the water due to their magnets being uncoated once exposed to air before being sealed in the acrylic will allow them to rust a bit.
I feed SanFrancisco bay frozen mysis from the pre cut cubes you press out of the aluminum; I’ve never seen a piece of the aluminum get into the food cup when I feed as I defrost it before putting it in the tank.
I picked up some Cuprisorb but I want to eliminate the source. Any ideas? I’m desperate and don’t want my corals to die.
