Can anyone help ID the color/name of this leather? I picked it up at my LFS during a buy one for $10 get one free sale. The young kid at the store said it was an SPS which I now know it’s not so that wasn’t much help. Not the greatest picture but it’s a neon yellow/green body with pink/purple spots. I know you’re not supposed to buy things that you don’t know, but I couldn’t pass up a deal. Thanks!

Honestly gonna need a white light pic a bit more in focus and possibly with the coral open. Likely a type of nepthea, sinularia, or Kenya tree. But it may also be a carnation coral, though unlikely at that price

I’ll try to get a better picture. It hasn’t fully opened since I put it in the tank yesterday

is it white like that, or just the lighting? It looks like a sinularia but if its really white like that then its in bad shape.

It’s not bleached I promise it’s the lighting. I’ve seen bleached corals and this one is not. It’s a neon yellow.
If it is a leather, neon yellow would be a super, super find.
Rare these days, the true yellow in my parts.

It’s not “hard” right?

No does not seem to be hard. The chunk on the right already seems to have attached itself to the rock since I put it in yesterday.

And to my eyes it’s a neon yellow/green but closer to yellow with maybe pink or purple buds
