This guy has been slowly growing and disappears for a week at a time. What the heck is it?

My first thought was a stomatella snail, but it seems to have a neon orange rim on it. Strange.
Perhaps a nudibranch of some sort. Does it appear to have a hard shell?

It does have a hard shell forming that's a lot smaller than the rest of it.

Looks to be like a bumblebee snails body shape but it's not that.

Not from what I can see. It's really good about hiding so it's gone for a week at a time.
