I picked up this frag at a LFS yesterday for 9.99. I'm going to try and keep it alive ;-). Any thoughts on what it is?

The polyps were looking great this morning, all extended and pretty.

I think the Pocillopora is correct. Here's another photo with polyps extended.

Yes, I know I have red algae on the sand. I've been trying o get rid of it for awhile. Phosphate and nitrates are good (.03 and 4 respectively). Any suggestions?

Phosphate and nitrate levels will test low because the red algae will take it up but the presence of the algae indicates that you have a nutrient problem. Figure out why and correct it. Likely it is overfeeding or too much bioload.

Yes, I added some berghia nudis a couple weeks ago and am waiting for them to start making a difference.

That's the trouble with showing a pic of something, everyone sees all the stuff you don't want them to see ;-)
