Wish I could remember the name of this stuff. I had it a long time ago in my tank but it plated/encrusted. Its almost like a type of fire coral, really invasive. Mine showed up as a hitchhiker.
The Blue Ridge Coral is a bit of an oddity as it shares little in common with other corals. It grows like a branching SPS but sheds a waxy coat like a leather. Frags are 2"-3".

This coral had me stunned because of itself looks. Plating out with thin finger like branches.
Looks like over time the branches fuses together.
Creating the ridge like images.
Apparently if I frag it, I should see blue inside the skeleton. When it acclimated and looking good I'll have to take a snip just to be certain.
