Ok thanks guys, thought they might be somekind of pest.
Do you have any recommendations to treat these tube worms? There all over my rock, but only afew I ever see come out like this..
+1 on colonial hydriods. Get them out before they start spreading. They come off pretty easy. We had some come on a piece of live rock in my mother in laws tank and we just picked them off. Like said above, make sure you get them all so they don't come back.
I was reading this thread and am completely confused. Hydroids? Are those the “yellow polyp looking things” or are they the tube worm looking thing. My tank has a bunch of those 1/4 inch maybe even smaller sized tube worms. I always was under the impression they were good and helped w filtration being filter feeders. And googling hydroids just comes up with about 1000 different types.
