Although technically they are not pests, they can spread fast and take over most of the space in your tank.
 
It's up to you if you want to keep them or not. Much like GSP, they will spread quickly in your tank.
 
I find them to be slow growers and not invasive star polyps. Lower flow and lighting requirements.
