I have no clue what this is or even a classification. Any help would be appreciated.

It looks to be a cyphastrea coral that is getting way too much light. They generally like to be down low in a semi shadowed location. It's an entrusting coral. I have a meteor shower cyphastrea.

+1 on cyphastrea and it does look like it's getting to much light.

Nice; it's actually darkening up in my tank; it's a jbj intermediate. The light part was already there when I got it; I've only had it about a week.

That is Great! See how mine is slightly in the shadow of the rock above? There is 10x more growth in the shadows that you can't see in the picture but it must have "some"light. Or lighted indirectly. It is a very pretty entrusting SPS. Easy care likes only small amount of no3. Best of luck with it :D
