I think this is some kind of sponge, could be wrong.

What are the requirements of this thing ?
 
Tunicate? I know they filter feed but I have to idea how to keep one alive.

+1 tunicate.filter feeder phytofeast, oyster feast nice looking one where did you get it?
 
From the LFS for $ 30 , it looses its crown and then it grows back again, feels like sponge but its not, thanks :)
 
I agree, tunicate, and if you can keep it alive your better than most people, including myself. They need very nutrient rich water, like a flame/electric scallop. I have never known anyone to keep one alive. I tried the "Laker" one, yellow with purple veins, didn't last a month.

I have it for about 2 months and when I placed it atstrong light it droped the crowns, grew them back up again in low light and seems to be doing ok.......we will see :)
