What type of probe is the one on the right. Think it might be ORP but no idea for sure. Concerned it may just be a broken Ph probe. Help please.

It would be easy to tell if the edges are rough on the one on the right:) When in doubt toss it out;)

It could be ORP. I have a generic one from BRS that has a similar tip. Have you tried to calibrate it as a ORP probe?

Just looked at it and its smooth not sharp broken glass edges just the metal tip. The one on the left is Ph for sure I know that. Just not sure for the right one. Came with a RKL SL1 amd it has PH and ORP so I assume its the ORP probe.

Thoses are not Digital Aquatics brand probes. All of theirs are black and are labeled. They should work OK if they have not been allowed to dry out. I have to assume you got this used with those probes.

Yes it was used and I know they are not DA probes. Brand does not matter as long as its a quality probe. They have been kept wraped in a wet paper towel. If the Ph probe does not caliberate I will order new ones for it no biggy. Just wanted to confirm ID on the unknown probe type.

I have a generic ORP probe that looks like the one on the right. It does work on the SLX module. I cannot say on the SL1 module. I had to retire my SL1 module the pH reading would shift when my cooling fans turned on. I could hold the fans in my hand and it still affected the pH reading. I guess I can still use the switch ports and temp port if I ever need those ports. I have had no issues with the SLX or SL2 module with this happening. I also have a Pinpoint pH probe I use with one of the modules. It works good also. I don't have a lot of experience with the RKL, but used an RKE for several years before getting the Archon.

Good to know about the SL1 and the fan issues I will watch out for that. I will try to calibrate it as an ORP and see what it does. I dont need ORP anyways since I dont run Ozone but it has other uses.
