ID the hawk fish?

I’ve had this hawk fish for a while, but I’m about to send him to somebody else. That fish and I both want me to add new fish to the reef tank...for very different reasons.

Anyway, I forgot his exact species and none of the pictures I’ve found online are a complete fit. He has purple to black bands, while is body color is pretty red. He has some blue on his head.

Big and beautiful. Looks like some sort of spotted hawkfish obviously. But don't think I've seen one like this before. Really cool! Can you get some pics of it in white lighting so we can see the color and patterns on it?

I'll see if I can. He doesn't usually perch but hides in the rocks instead. When he is out, he is very fast. Perching on the gyre pump was actually shocking so we took the picture.

He sort of looks like someone combined a banded, coral, blood red, and flame angel to create a fish. It's sad that I have to get rid of him, but I can't put any shrimp, wrasses, blennies, gobies, or other smaller fish in the tank. Well, I can and the hawkfish would very much like me to do so.... He doesn't screw with my clown and my fox face keeps him in check, but that's all I can keep.

I can't figure out his species. The fish store said banded when I got him about three years ago. He just doesn't look like one.
