Just bought this trachy. I dipped in Coral rx. Didn't see any hitchhikers. Saw what I thought was an old worm skeleton. You can see a lot of it on the bottom side. I assumed it was dead. Looking just now i see this. Appears reddish in color and i can see at least 2 whatever it is sticking out. Christmas tree worm perhaps is my first guess, but I really have no idea. Sorry for bad picture. Phone is about to die so no flash and light are switching to moon.

Small filter feeding feather duster. I don’t think this would be a problem unless multiplying out of control and poking through flesh

Dip didn’t work because tube is narrow and is a dead end, water won’t flow in/through it.

Would need to break from as close to the base as possible and try to squirt dip water in with a syringe or baster to make it hit the internal worm. Or break off and cover with superglue

Personally I wouldn’t worry about this.

Feather dusters are cool and I'm okay with that. There's a lot of calcified tube on the bottom. Some has been cut through, some not. It's not on the flesh just the base. I can see tiny bit skeleton that I am observing but I think it happened in transport. Looks really healthy otherwise

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
