A couple years ago I got some nice caribean live rock, and the was a lil brown slime patch hitch-hiker. I cut it off the rock and mounted it. It has since turned a sweet green with orange-ish stripes, slow grower, any ideas?, mabe an isophyllia?
First for size comparison the disk is 1 1//2"

sorry bro, its not a favia, look how the polyps are joined like a trachy. Its not a commonly available species at all, its caribean LPS which is rare in itself. I used to work in a LFS, and they have no idea what it is either, or anybody else who has seen it for that matter, come on coral experts!!!

I am no expert,.. however, I believe it to be either Isophyllia sinuosa, or Mussa angulosa

The Genus Oulophyllia only occurs in the Pacific Ocean.

It could be a Manicina however,..I have many Rose corals in my personal systems, that have settled/occured on our live rock site,.... none ever appear that color,..it could be though.
