Purple Montipora Capricornicus (scrolling growth formation).
 
Not sure if i agree with the Montipora capricornis ID. Capricornis, usually "The coenosteum is coarse." It will be a rough texture almost like broken stone.

I think you might actually have Montipora verruculosus. The "Plates are covered with dome-shaped verrucae which are of very uniform size and are uniformly spaced."

thanks!it looks like the 2nd one...thanks for the exact id :)
but then it says color is grey...mine is not grey...its dark purple with blue polyps....but the structure is spot on

That color reference is from pictures taken by divers. When it come to aquarium coral they in theory can be any color because of the lighting we use. So IDing by the color can often fool people into the most basic answer.
