I recently bought 5 Lyertail Anthias from LFS. They all did fine for 2 weeks in the QT, but one of them developed this white patch about half the area of a dime on its right side near its belly. She is now back in the QT with API general cure, heater and air stone for aeration.
Can anyone identify what the white patch actually is and what the best course of treatment action is?

I had a lyretail with this a few weeks ago. I used metroplex, kanoplex, and focus (I believe focus was the last one to keep the medications together) and it cleared up within a few days. Not sure if it was the medication or just luck, but he pulled through. It isn’t reef safe but ok to add to the food I was told. Good luck!

Thanks, unfortunately she started going down very fast and the patch turned to a brownish yellow. I lost her this afternoon.
