So I went to petco to get some live rock (ik it’s a horrible idea but I desperately needed live rock) and when the lady was grabbing it out I guess this fish swam in the rock and she didn’t notice. When I go home I was lookin at the rock and saw a vibrant pinkish purple fish. I’m assuming is a basslet of some kid but I’m not positive anyone have a positive ID? ( I know these aren’t the best pictures but I can’t get close to the tank without him getting scared)

Yeah it looks like the classic orchid dottyback. They can be really aggressive (dependent on the fish itself), but definitely a really pretty fish.
Ah shi💩 I have a purple fire fish do you think they’ll fight, they both seem to inhabit one side of the tank

What's the tank size? It's really depending on the tank size, but if there's a lot of hiding spots it'll probably be fine, but just monitor to see the aggression of the dottyback, because the biggest factor is the fish itself.
