Found this buried in the mud in the sump.

Can anyone identify the type of coral? Thanks.

I am very new to corals, have had fish only tanks for years though. Is there a particular coloration that it should have?

What you are seeing there is just the skeleton. It doesn't look like it has any flesh (which is the colored, alive part). There are many different colors of Pocillapora.

For example, here is my purple Pocillapora,
