You would hope but all the big name LEDs seem very against making small usefull units that you can buy alot of to get great spread for some reason. AI seems to be the only one willing to do it. Personally I would never use a xr30 over 2x xr15 or a ap700 over 2x 360X. Those big units with fixed distance between pucks is just not as good as being able to place the pucks yourself.
Is the AP9x even out yet? Seems like it’s was previewed ages ago ..... presumably unavoidable manufacturing delays. I’ve had my 360x pair for a while now. Have been surprised that an X version of the 160 hasn’t come out already. Perhaps it’s a price point thing, or maybe the X models haven’t sold all that well. FWIW, 160 has always seemed to me a better designed light than the 360. I’ve had a bunch of the latter fail but none of the former.
Most likely to give the 180x the same features as the 360x would have a cost almost the same as you would need very simular control boards. A couple more LEDs and bigger powersupply don't really raise the cost that much. So a 180x would either be almost as expensive or less profitable. So I doubt they are going to do it even though I really wish they would.
