I have a Tunze Algae Reactor

And it ends up spitting out little bits of chaeto out the output side

How do you keep your chaeto in your reactor ?

Tie a mesh bag on the end?

I didn't see it until yesterday cleaning bubble trap filter

Hmm. I had the chaeto growing where the Mar dumps out now so the bits I've found I chalked up to it being there before. I'll keep an eye out see if I have this same issue. I imagine a mesh bag would do it tho
