considering one for my office at work.. i like the "open concept" they have.

A minimum of three things:

1) rockwork totally redone
2) Entire sump area redone
3) found a way to have a fish room when moving to a 200+ gallon size tank

I like that you get many views of the tank and that with current equipment is easier to nail flow without having to have cords everywhere.

I’d never own any other tank again! The views and scaping are fun!

Purchase a band saw and cut every Acropora frag before placing in tank to avoid any nasties.

oh yeah that's a good one. i could've definitely saved myself from bryopsis if i had one.

Currently in the process of removing a big section of my liferock scape and replacing it with live ocean rock. Using the liferock has been my biggest regret. Every week before water change I blow out the rockwork with a baster and a crapload of fine dust comes out of every little crevice. It seems like the rocks are deteriorating from the inside. The liverock I do have doesn't have this issue. I think I got a bad batch because it's been nothing but stress from a yearlong battle with hair algea to frags just not doing well. This is what I'm replacing it with.
