I currently have power monitoring set up for all my devices. However, my Vortechs go into a mode where their power usage is apparently different than the rest of the modes only at a certain time of day. I want to monitor them, but perhaps just ignore them for the 2 hours every evening that they do this. I assume this would have to be through a Virtual Output? Would I simply program for the wattage to trigger the virtual output to on if outside the parameters I want, but then put an If time is between certain hours then off at the end? Or is there a better way to do this?

Thanks

Yes, a virtual output would be the way to go. Here’s an example:

[Power_Alert] — virtual output
Set OFF
If Output Vortech Watts > 50 Then ON
If Time 18:00 To 20:00 Then OFF

[EmailAlm]
Set OFF
If Output Power_Alert = ON Then ON

See my Apex Programming Tutorial series for more details and examples. I have topics on Virtual Outputs, Power Monitoring, and Alarms. https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/neptune-apex-programming-tutorials.700483/

Thanks, I was actually using your tutorials the other day to update my code. I had never realized the alert priority etc and realized that my leak sensors were not my highest priority (oh, but they are!) So thanks for those and thanks for the input.

Here's the code I wrote:
Virtual Output VortechPower
Set OFF
If Output VortechL Watts > 40 Then ON
If Output VortechL Watts < 3 Then ON
If Output VortechR Watts > 40 Then ON
If Output VortechR Watts < 3 Then ON
If Time 18:55 to 21:35 Then OFF

And then a simple If Outlet VortechPower = On then On in the alarm email.

Thanks
