Hello, I have like two other tank threads but I forgot about them a bit and figured it’s just easier to start over with pictures and a little blurb and the basics lol. Both tanks are only a couple of months old so aren't anything crazy or super nice yet but they are both on their way.
First is the 14 gallon. It’s an Innovative Marine peninsula with an AI Prime HD and an Eshopps nano skimmer. I’m still working on getting a refugium going in the first chamber of the overflow but haven’t found the right light (Any suggestions are welcome). I built my own stand for the tank that I might end up adding a doser inside of as well. For coral stocking I’m primarily focusing on designer zoas with a few higher end shrooms, Alveopora, torches and hammers along with two or three other random corals (blue sympodium, purple cespitularia, button scoly). Fish-wise, I love uncommon nano fish so I have a links goby, a Trimma milta(?), a Trimma caesura, a black bar chromis (will be moved out bc he’s a jerk) and I’m going to soon move a pair of whitespotted Pygmy filefish out of my 10 and into the 14. I’m doing 25% water changes weekly and am checking my parameters as I know that the fish stocking is a little heavy. I do also have a few snails and hermit crabs as well as a Brunnis cleaner shrimp and two rock flowers.
Next up is the 10 gallon. I’m using just a standard 10 gallon glass aquarium with a modded aqua clear 70 as a refugium and an aquaknight a029 for lighting. I plan on eventually upgrading this tank to an Innovative Marine 10 gallon with a Prime just to make things run more smoothly but for now I’m happy with it. I have had a lot of issues with evaporation in this tank, even with a lid but that could be due to its placement . This tank will also primarily be for zoas but I will also put some hammers and mushrooms in this tank along with Xenia and a few other random corals. For livestock I have a standard ocellaris clownfish (Had to make the lady happy), a masked goby (i want more so badly but they are hard to find here) and a pair of whitespotted Pygmy filefish (will be moved to the 14). I plan on adding a radial filefish and a possum wrasse and one or two more nano gobies will probably end up in the tank as well. I have snails and hermits as well as a bumblebee shrimp, a maxi mini, a tiny RBTA, and a rock flower. This tank also gets a 25% water change weekly.
