Did my first parameters test. Everything seems in line except alkalinity is a touch low at 7. Calcium is at 480. I've tested alkalinity and calcium on a regular bases on my old tank however did not check ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, in over 6 months. I just have always been fortunate there.

The derasa has been all over the place but it appears he recently attached his foot. At least now when he pumps water he doesn't fly all over the tank.

Looking good, I really want to get another clam. I had a Deresa 20 years ago that got huge in my 75g reef

Len
Thanks! Clams are what really brought me to the final step to start reefing. They are incredible. I do enjoy coral but I really enjoy the inverts more than anything in this hobby.

Last night I ordered some green chromis, Royal Gramma, bumblebee snail, and two green bubble tip anemones. Should arrive before 10:30 a.m. tomorrow morning! I ordered three green chromis in case something happens during shipping and if it becomes too much for the tank I do have somebody that could take one of them. There might be other secret reefers but I'm only aware of one other person in my area that is into hobby.

I do have quite a few vermetid snails and sounds like bumblebee snails could potentially help eliminate those.

3 chromis added to the tank. The royal gramma did not survive the journey unfortunately. 2 anemones also included. I'll try and get shots of those tomorrow. They've attached and look great as well.

It's been over a year since I've purchased any fish. Could not get them to eat but I know that takes time. I was able to spend about 30 minutes straight just watching the tank before the lights went out. I started noticing that the chromis started tasting some random items floating by. Decided to drop more food in and they went after it. Gives me a little relief.

I did acclimate them however no quarantine process at this point. Slowly adding gear to be able to do that at some point.

That’s a bummer about the Gramma. Did you get it from somewhere with an arrive alive guarantee? Hopefully you get some credit or a replacement.

I did get these through blue zoo aquatics. I've had good experiences with them in the past with a DOA. Pretty sure I'll order another one along with a few other items. Isn't that usually how it goes? [emoji3]

It is, we’re all always buying more of something. A Royal Gramma is one of the next fish on my stocking list so I’ll be getting one soon too.

Not getting as far along with the cabinet as I'd like. I was able to build the drawer box. Thought I'd change it up a little and go with a transparent aqua color.

Also picked up some Seachem matrix. I have one of their Tidal hang on filters that I can use for quarantining. I'm going to put that matrix in the back sump to seed so it's ready when the time comes.

Couple shots from the tank. If you look closely you can see the remains of one chromis. Cleaner shrimp and hermit cleaning up. Bummer. Not sure of the cause. Noticed times there was only two chromis add any given time so I wonder if he was under pressure from the other two?

On a positive note the tuxedo urchin was rockin the new style.

Included a bit of the underside of the cabinet. As you can tell it's pretty darn simple. I've actually been very happy with this ATO reservoir. I picked this up at Amazon and this one holds 22 quarts. It was about $30-$40 withe lid. Nice and clear and I like the fact it has the quarts listed. The anemones on the left rockscape moved so I was able to tip the rock down which I like much better. The clam also moved a bit which surprise me. I think it's a good spot for him though.

It's a busy week with the kids so everything's on hold... Which is just fine! I'll continue building out the doors and drawer next week.
