Recently came across a good deal on FB Market - my Buddy wanted a tank, I was looking for livestock. It was a 40 gallon cube. He took the hardware and I have the animals to stock my IM 25 Lagoon. What I have is too many fish for my 25 (and was probably too many for the 40 tbh.)

- 3 clown fish ( I think percula )
- 2 yellow watchman goby
- 1 pistrol shrimp
- 1 blue hippo tang
- 1 yellow and purple wrasse

- 1 leopard wrasse
- 1 pearly jawfish
- 1 firefish
- 1 yellow tail blenny

- 2 skunk cleaners

Considering selling the ones in Green (maybe one of the cleaners too). Tang is about 3", but my tank and the one it came from are way too small. All are in QT with no signs of illness. Everyone is eating frozen food. Starting copper and preventative routine today on the clowns first, then do the gobies and jawfish, and finally the wrasse... this will take me some time but thats OK.

What do you all think? Please dont say "its your choice" - looking more for stocking concentration and tank mates getting along.
thanks

12 fish on a 25 is way overstocked.

I would do the following for a IM25, I have a IM20

- 2 clown fish ( I think percula )
- 1 yellow watchman goby
- 1 pistrol shrimp
- 0 blue hippo tang
- 0 yellow and purple wrasse
- 0 leopard wrasse
- 0 pearly jawfish
- 1 firefish
- 1 yellow tail blenny
- 1 skunk cleaners

Thanks ! Is there a particular reason to not keep the leopard and pearl?

The Jawfish ideally required 30+ gallons and established sandbed.
The Leopard 50+ gallons and established pod population.

Out of the two, if you were to do 1. The Jawfish at a later date would be my suggestion. Monitor nutrients and ensure everyone have a safe place to go to in your scape. I like the dimensions of the IM 25. They have one setup at one of the LFS and looks really nice. Good luck, I look forward to seeing the tank.

Thanks for your input. Only reason leaning towards keeping the wrasse is because of how well it eats prepared frozen food or pellets. Doesn't blink an eye to it and literally is all over the tank grabbing food up and looking for more! Same for the jawfish. The blenny is a bit of a bully towards the yellow watchmen (who might be paired up - one is smaller and they sleep with the same pistol each night) so that one has to go. Firefish for me is an ehh kind of fish. The tang is an obvious "no" to me. I could go either way on the yellow/ purple wrasse, but know I def cant have two (also eats frozen)

Ill put up a build thread at some point - Been sitting for over a month with some clean rock - very little light. Added a jar of Ecopods about 2 weeks ago and feeding ocean magik to allow them to populate the tank (following BRS videos). Here is a few teaser shots.
