Hi, my name is Howard. I have a 55 gallon FOWLR tank. I am Interested in making it a reef tank. I just purchased an Aquamaxx 1.5 HOB skimmer, and nasty stuff is coming out already. I have also ordered new lighting, I ordered the Current IC pro LED 48". So I am sure I will have plenty of questions coming!

Hi Howard! Yeah, new skimmers foam like crazy the first few weeks when you get a new one. Once your water clears up more, and the skimmer gets broken in, it won't be nearly as nasty. I'm glad you joined us! We are here if you have questions.
