I’m hoping I can find another one. A few months ago there were like 8 at TSA tiny one too. I saw one possum at TSA yesterday, unfortunately I haven’t had luck with them and prefer the Pink. Not sure if they ship but you could try and see.

My Pink Streak he/she is fearless and excellent nano fish. Been in the 3’ reef long enough and the only fish that spooks it is the Tomini. Excuse the dirty glass, lights ramping down.

Steve did you ran the Reefi uno in the 30L or the 60?
If anyone’s looking for on drreefsquarantinedfish has them available! Just ordered one myself

Cut a small frag of Garf Bonsai last night and place it this tank. It hasn’t bleached or STN, fingers cross but it has only been 12 hours. If everything works out plan to cut a few more frags. Measure Alk at 7.8, plan to mix some AFR and play with the dose.

The Fish

The bad news;
The goby disappeared, check around the tank, floor (tile/carpet), AIO section and no sign of it.

Potential future stocking;
Thinking about potentially getting the first two and when the tank matures a bit more ~6-12 months get an ORA blue mandarin instead of the Damsel.

Mixed some AFR and dosed 1.5ml will measure tomorrow to see where this gets me.
IMG_7674.jpeg

Measured N03 (4.7) and P04 (.03)
IMG_7669.jpeg

Plan to stop by the LFS to pick a few more members of the CUC. Currently there is 1 Trochus and 3 Astrea snails along with the cleaner shrimp.

Bonsai still alive. Mixing some water to do a water change and remove the detritus that’s accumulating (middle of the tank, behind the frag).

Excited for Reefapaloza next weekend but not sure which day to attend yet.

(Added some color and movement)

New addition:
  • Red Firefish
  • Springer Damsel
  • Canary Blenny
IMG_7716.jpeg

Two more SPS:
  • JF flame
  • Green Slimmer
IMG_7719.jpeg
IMG_7718.jpeg
Definitely learned where the name comes after cutting a frag. My hand was literally cover is slime. Plan to keep the corals another week in the plastic cups and if everything works out will start gluing them to the rocks.

Ordered a skimmer replacement pump since the original is working intermittently.

Water is cloudy so plan to do maintenance later today or tomorrow and measure parameters. Likely going to the ReefApalooza Sunday to enjoy the show.

Nothing like waking up and seeing a fish inside the MP10. Looks like the power supply is faulty and the Blenny made it his new home.

IMG_7725.jpeg

Order a replacement power supply and will see if I can find one of those glass cup for anemone so it can have a home. This one is super nice
IMG_7728.jpeg

Measure major 3
Alk at 8.5
N03 at 6.8
P04 at 0
IMG_7723.jpeg

It appears the rock is absorbing all the phosphate so I dosed half a cap of Flourish Phosphorus. This should bring it to .05. Also mixing a fresh batch of water.

Some goodie’s from Reefapaloza (freebies, raffle and purchases)
IMG_7816.jpeg

Also got a few frags (letting them simmer on the other tank).

Got a cool rock formation for frags but not sure if I should use it for the SPS or chalice.

Need to dial in the skimmer after installing the new pump getting a ton of micro bubbles.

IMG_7921.jpeg
Salinity 1.026
Alk 9.4
Ca 475
Mg 1410
P04 .07
N03 2.0

Corals seem hangry. Bump up the nutrients and turn off the skimmer. Glue some to the rocks. Plan to continue to raise Nitrates. See if I can get them closer to 10, slowly.

3 Cerith
4 Hermits
1 Cleaner shrimp

The Acropora are looking good.

How many ml of AFR/24?
Any coral supplements, amino acids products?

Thanks! I haven't dosed more AFR. The tank is not consuming Alk 🥹. Trying to fix nutrients first to then bump up the light. I lowered it and the wave makers when I first introduced the fish. Going to need to measure nutrients more frequent while I get it dial a bit more; tank is young.

As for dosing, I'm currently using the following products:
Acro Power
ESV Nitrates
Flourish Phosphorus
