Odd question I couldn't find a thread for. I upgraded my IM return pump to a Sicce syncra 1.5 for increased GPH and because it runs that much quieter, however...the gyre hitting the front glass pane from the stock nozzles seems very strong down at the sand making acans unhappy and GSP and Xenia go wild.
Question: what direction (up or down) should I be pointing the nozzles to pull some gyre off? I don't want to dial the pump down because it defeats the purpose and everything else really loves the increased flow. Should I just take the stream nozzles off and run the open fitting? What is everyone using to get a good spread in their AIO's? Thanks in advance!!

I use the Spin Stream nozzles to help get some random flow and avoid flow "hot spots" that could irritate coral or push sand around too much. Either taking the nozzle off or pointing it up towards the surface might help some too. I've also considered getting a loc-line adapter and splitting the nozzles.
