So I have a 3 gallon Dwarf Seahorse tank and with that comes lots of brine shrimp hatching. I have been spying these little dudes in the tank on several occasions and finally tossed them under a microscope. They look like baby shrimp. What shrimp type would survive drying and hatching like brine shrimp?

Pictures taken from my phone in a sample in a shot glass. The lil red dudes are the brine shrimp. Thier shadow looks very shrimpy to me. Big eyes.

Videos have both brine shrimp and the mystery shrimp. Brine shrimp are the smaller ones.

I'm curious too - I ended up getting similar shrimp in my dwarf seahorse tank too, and they've made their way into my display after feeding a jar of bbs to it one time, and seem to have become self sustaining in the tank. Don't seem to bother anything though, just occasionally see them if I have to do a dip on coral for like brown jelly or similar.

I'm assuming the ponies are eating them, since they eat other types of shrimp larve in the wild?

I'll research the mysis shrimp...
