I'm going to use a controller, with an iPad display on the stand for "easy control". I'm just wondering if I can add an inline controller between some of the essentials that I might want to control at the flick of a switch.

Basically my return pump, for example, would go into the switch and then from the switch into the apex. If I needed to I could flip the switch and turn off the return. Otherwise it will be controlled by the apex.

Thanks in advance.

I don't see this being a problem. I have equipment on switches and equipment controlled through an Apex. I haven't put equipment on both but I don't see any reason it wouldn't work.

You can also use physical switches connected to the Apex breakout box, or a custom switchbox like this one from @TheHarold Harry Singer to quickly turn off devices:

Thanks for the responses, I'm looking for examples of these in-line switches that I can use and how they operate.

Thanks again
