I got one of these frozen food feeders coming next week. The video shows it mounted below the rim of the aquarium submerged in the water.

I'm assuming there is no chance of back siphoning into the feeder?

How much vertical head can the feeder overcome? I'm planning on making a shelf and putting it about 4 feet high. That would be about 1.5 feet of vertical.

I hope not, mine is below my waterline and my tubes are a good 6” in to a 400g display.

You are going to love yours. I feed with mine 5 times a day on 10. I had some issues out of the box. They instantly fixed it and took incredible care of me. Mine has been going at this rate since 3/1. I need to purchase a second one for my new lookdown display.

lol that’s reassuring

Sounds great! Yeah I’ve been doing around 4 cubes once a day and I’d love to be able to feed 1.5 cubes 3 times a day.

Do you find it better to let pumps stay on while feeding? I feel like if they all know where food is coming from and the little fish won’t come get it then they’ll never eat.

Some pumps not all. But, I like moving the food around the tank. This way everyone gets some food. You can feed in 5, 10, 15 mil increments (1, 2, 3 cubes, etc). But you can water it down and get where you want to get.
