I got a wild indo blue tenius mini colony (all blue no other colors) about a year ago and it pretty much died off, I was able to save a very small piece and just recently it’s starting to look pretty cool. It’s at a low par 225- 250 spot in my tank (outer edge because all the cool name brand stuff gets the better spots)

Should I move to higher Par 300-400 or 450-550 to try and get more colors? Most of my tenuis are above 400 par

parameters are:

Alk 7.8-8.3

Cal 400-410

Magnesium 1400

Nitrates 20-25 (high for sps color, I dose nitrates every day, neo nitro)

Phosphates as low as possible with such high nitrates (salifret test no color change noticed, don’t really use Hanni test kit much

Lots of pods, I add more every month

Daily adding of phytoplankton (sps love it)

Lights kessil a 360 and radions gen 5 (mostly run a blue spectrum.)

Dose Red Sea program abcd

Acro power

Tropic Marin pro salt and miracle mud in sump.

I am far from an expert on SPS, but if it were me i would leave it since it looks great where it at. When able i would take a frag and once it heals gradually start moving it to higher PAR to see what if any difference in colors it takes.

I like this idea. It keeps your original colony safe and allows you to experiment.
