Well, well, well.......

I have my tickets booked for my Indonesian trip again. This time we are changing things up a little bit to go to a few new places that we missed out on last year due to various reason. The reason I am starting this thread is I want some input from you guys on what you want to see from the collection process to the packing of corals. Most anything I can post this year around and I just want to educate and show you guys the absolute amount of love and labor that goes into this process for my wife and I.

I am looking for a few specific things this year and hope that I come across them. But if there is some specific thing you want to see please start a conversation with me here and I will have it in my trip notes to make sure and document that specific part so you can gain some insight. Of course I will be taking some coral pictures and putting them up here for people to see from the wild and from the collection sites.

So what is it you want to see this year? Leave me a comment below so I can start prepping the list of things to write about.

HAHAHAHAHA! Being that Indonesia is heavily Muslim that would not happen. The only place that would come close to happening is in Denpasar, Bali. There muslim is the minority and Hindu is the more represented religion. That is why IMHO Bali has a more touristy feel because they are more accepting of drinking and a little less clothing attire. Heck buying even a beer over there outside of Bali is hard to do.

Man, no bites. That is ok. I still have my thread from last year up so I will just do the same outline and idea in capturing the whole experience. Just check back here and leave me suggestions and I will do my best to make sure I document the process.

Well things have started off interesting. EVA air has a Hello Kitty plane and I have been blessed enough to fly on it. Decked out in all Hello Kitty. Next stop is Taiwan.

Far too kawaii!

I know some kids who'd love to be where you are ... and more than a few adults, myself included.

Looking forward to images of an incredible journey!

Taipei layover... So we arrived in Taipei at 630AM here time. No we are boarding another plane to head to Jakarta then fly out again in the early am for another island.

In Taipei the waiting areas for flights are themed. One was a headphone themed area and the one with the orchids was next to another. We had a quick breakfast/dinner at the airport even though we had 2.5 meals on the plane.

4am right now here in Jakarta. We arrived here yesterday about 2 pm and went to our first picking locations. We sat down for breakfast. Our first flight is to another island to collect and pick. We have a schedule of ten divers over the next two days. I am really stoked about this first leg. If there is something specific you want to see let me know. Yesterday i was prohibited from taking pictures at the suppliers we visited. :( they had an awesome selection though and we set aside some pieces we want to have waiting for us when we arrive back to Jakarta. Now is when the real hunt begins. It is Wednesday hopefully I do not lose any internet connections like I had an issue with last year.

Dinner.. Man the food cannot be fresher here. The place where we went to eat is where you select your fish and they prepare it how you like it fried, grilled, or even baked. Rabbit fish, cow fish, file fish, and triggers along with some other fish that we have in put in our tanks regularly. They even had a tank with a ton of clowns in there. They where no food items don't worry.

We where in coral farms until 1am due to their shipments being late now we are heading to the airport at 0430 to catch a flight to another island. Dinner was rice and meat on a stick with peanut sauce. On the side of the road they have tons of food vendors selling all types of food. Really really good food.
