I have an infinia 190.5. 60.5" x 25.3" x 22.6 Im using 2 xr30 g6 pro radions. I an having some shading issues. Where some areas i cant get proper lighting. Does adding a third radion in the middle helps? I have one laying around. Does it help with shading? Or 2 blades 57” better in that case?

I am going to run 3 on mine water box 5 ft tank w a 48 inch bar on either side. 2 is not enough for full coverage of 60". Figure you have full coverage of 20x20. Maybe a touch more. To get fill you have to direct light in from the side so blades might be better for that.

2 radions aren't enough. They cover tops 24x24. I'm finding if ones wants to get rid of shadows from spotlight type LEDs( like radions, rs, reefi uno) one needs to supplement with bars (like blades, quantas, reef breeders, etc). You need that light coming in from the side angle that the bars provide.

This is a bit of a old thread, but I'm looking for a new 190.5 5', I was planning on going with 3 uno 2.1 mounted 12in above water. Given your recommandation I should also plan for a blade.

Any recommandation if i'm starting from zero? light and mounting system. Also I can probably not afford 3 xr30 (they are 1500$ Canadian a pop), the uno are cheaper and seem to minimize side spill for my living room.

Thanks

I got mine used.

If I were redoing mine I'd do 3 reefis and 2 of the helix bars I have. The helix bars are amazing. There's a set for sale on market here I think
