Hey guys,

I have 4 Dispar Anthias in a 180G tank along with a small Blue Tang, 2 small clowns, a yellow wrasse, 2 small Royal Grammas and a medium sized Foxface. They've been doing fine more or less but one Anthia has been troublesome.

The anthia in question developed a weird jaw problem, almost as if it had closed wrong after he un-hinged/extended his mouth (I posted about this a while ago). He (I think it's a He) did well from there and had no problem eating.

After finishing QT I moved him into the DT with the other Anthias. Within a week he developed a weird white bump on his forehead and a small bump at the back of his dorsal. The bumps went away and from what I could tell, they were maybe a symptom of lymphocystis. The other anthias were fine.

We came home from vacation last weekend and he was looking terrible! He has a tear on the rear of his dorsal fin, what looks like a cut just at the base of his tail and a discoloration near the injury. He's acting skittish and hiding a lot. After 3 days of no improvement, I decided to move him into a hospital tank. He was so weak/scared that I actually lifted him out of the tank with my bare hand from where he was hiding.

I want the injury to heal up and I want to prevent any bacterial infection from getting out of control (assuming that those are the actual issues). I have Metroplex, kanaplex, Kordon Ich-X, Prazipro and chloroquine phosphate on hand. Would a course of Kanaplex followed by Metro be recommended?

Thanks guys!

I would treat with Kanaplex + Metroplex (combined). You can add Furan-2 to this to widen the spectrum.

Thanks. Just treated with Metro and Kanaplex. I'll wait a few days and see how he progresses.
