injured torch coral

hey i got this awsome aussie torch coral that was the best lookin coral in the tank. but... i accidentally vacuumed 2 of the head through my siphon hose. its been about a week and the heads havent opened back up. what should i do???(theres only 4 heads total so its obvious somethings wrong with it.

Might have lost them. Can try and dip it

Your best bet is to move it to a lower flow zone and lower light and leave it alone. Is there still live tissue on it?

Depending what kind of flow it is currently in, my experiences are it may even need a little higher flow (not blasted)

yea, after the lights have been on for a while the tissue comes out a little but the tentacles stay pretty tiny.

There are several good coral dips, Coral RX, Revive, etc. I just dipped a frogspawn in Coral RX, put it in a little higher flow and it is doing really good

already sent a reply, not sure what happended or where it is so i'll retype.

do you just dip struggling corals or would RX be good for dipping corals that are opening up ok but maybe not 100 percent of what they could be?

I don't know I would recommend dipping corals that are looking/doing great. I don't think it would hurt to dip ones that aren't and you never know it might very well help
