Really don’t have a set one yet but I was looking at the ones with the option of heating and coolingWhich inkbird? This is how I cool my tank though yes it works really good as well
Okay cool and it keeps the temp down good?Yep I do this with my ITC-308s which was advertised for aquarium use.
Yes, I have one on my tank which keeps it heated in winter and cooled in summer.before I go and buy this setup the ones with the cooling plug can I plug in a fan and will it switch on?
I think that's the one I have. Get a big enough fan. My wife keeps house between 78-80. I have my ink bird set at 76 and it has no problem dropping my temps back down to 76 once they creep up to 77. Really doesn't come on alot maybe 3x a day and we live in az. Proper size fan and you should be good to goReally don’t have a set one yet but I was looking at the ones with the option of heating and cooling
Can you post the fan you have so I can get an idea is it your build thread?I think that's the one I have. Get a big enough fan. My wife keeps house between 78-80. Yep, it works really well for me. I hooked up a standard 12v cpu fan to my 13.5 and it cools the tank way faster than the heater heats. if it turns on it’s usually only on for a few minutes since it cools back down so fastOkay cool and it keeps the temp down good?
Awesome this makes me feel better thank youYep, it works really well for me. I hooked up a standard 12v cpu fan to my 13.5 and it cools the tank way faster than the heater heats. if it turns on it’s usually only on for a few minutes since it cools back down so fast
I should say though. How well it works depends on your relative humidity as well. If you have high humidity I don’t believe the fan works nearly as well.Awesome this makes me feel better thank you
I have this sort of fan on a 90 gal system. Can you post the fan you have so I can get an idea is it your build thread?
Good to know thank youI should say though. How well it works depends on your relative humidity as well. If you have high humidity I don’t believe the fan works nearly as well.
Indoors my humidity tends to stay below 50% where I am. Haven’t seen it go higher than 35% in my new house yet so the fan works great for me lol.
Yessir same tank as my build thread. I have a 15" wall mounted fan over a 24×48 lowboy 80 gallon, frag tank. It may be 110 gallons total with sump. Can you post the fan you have so I can get an idea is it your build thread?
Wow now that’s what I’m talking about lolYessir same tank as my build thread. I have a 15" wall mounted fan over a 24×48 lowboy 80 gallon, frag tank. It may be 110 gallons total with sump.
I like bigger is better for cooling.
Hope I could be helpful for you. I had chiller set up that I ran all day but it didn't last very long lol. Very easy set up and super efficient. Most of my heat comes from the t5s I'm running. You may not need as much depending on your ambient temps, tank size and such. Looks like all I need to do now is clean that fan hahaWow now that’s what I’m talking about lol
Yeah definitely were my tank gets up to about 82 I need to bring it down to at least 77 78 so this will definitely helpHope I could be helpful for you. My lid definitely keeps temps a little higher than they would be if the lid wasn't on it. Is the tank in your build thread badge? Now I just need to figure out my lid
