Help with Inkbird + desk fan

Hello Reefers,
I bought a desk clip on fan for the cooler months and connected it to the "cooling" outlet on my inkbird 308. Although the light turns green that cooling has been triggered due to rise in temp the fan wont turn on automatically. I tried starting the fan in the on position in hopes when the tank cools down and cooling is no longer necessary, the inkbird would shut off the fan. Am i doing this wrong or do i have the wrong type of fan? Thanks in advance.

What type of inkbird do you have? I run a usb fan on my nano the same way you do wothout issues

Hey Hats! thanks for the response.
I have the Inkbird ITC 308s and this usb fan connected to an iphone block and into the "cooling" port.

the fan is not compatible with ink bird.
I had the same problem have to get a different model fan.
need a fan that has a hard switch, not a on/off all in one switch.

can you recommend one? which fan do you use?
