Why the re-scape? Looks great! Is it do to the red cyno or just time for a change?

Time for a change and moving away from acros in the display and add in more softies/lps for movement.

Here’s my tentative aquascape. Hoping it’ll be minimalistic and for there to be plenty of room for colonies to get big and for fish to swim.

I got the rockwork glued up this weekend.

Capnellas are starting to open up and really fill in the back. I can't wait to see how full the tank starts looking in a few months.

This is the view I get when I walk into the room. Creates a nice canyon effect.

From my lounge chair, it looks like two islands with lots of cavework.

Koji Wada nepthea looking bright as heck!

I'm really excited for this area of the scape to grow out. Love the yellow and blue contrasts.

I ended up making a ton of euphyllia frags when I rescaped. The euphyllia colonies had gotten to big to fit well in the new scape so I trimmed them down.

Thought I'd take a picture of my acan collection too.

CSB Nems seem to like their new basket: went from a 6x8 basket up to a 10x10 pond basket.

Do you have much trouble reaching the sand bed? It’s 3’ front to back isn’t it? Iv been looking hard at this or the 100 but haven’t decided yet. Thanks and your tank looks great.

I had the same tank, in fact pretty sure he saw mine and copied my tank choice! Anyway it’s not too bad to reach the sand since can come from the sides since it’s 4’ long. Right smack in the middle back sand I could reach on tip toes from the side, but @xiaoxiy is a bit shorter than I am so I’m also curious if it’s an issue for him, but it wasn’t for me. Fwiw 6’ tall but I have long gorilla arms lol

Good deal. The tanks both cost the same just one comes with sump and plumbing and isn’t eurobraced. Appreciate the info.

I have to use a step stool to reach the bottom edge of back of the tank.

Why is that? I like the extra security for sure.

Curious as to @xiaoxiy reasons but for me I just think they look better, especially with a screen top, plus less splashes, less fish jumps if not using a top, of course stronger, you can have more secure placement for feeding rings, autofeeders and again I just think they look better, the eurobrace balances the overall look with the parallel horizontal bottom plane of the tanks that rimless are missing.

I have had custom tanks made both with and without the brace and waterbox along with the 150ext. I didn’t know it was eirobraced until I got it and was thrilled when found out!
