Innovative Marine 25 Lagoon AIO Converted

Hello all. Little info about me, I have been in the reefing hobby for 14 years now. I have had many varieties of tanks, IM 25 Lagoon AIO to 180 gal Acrylic to Red Sea Reefer 250 now back to IM 25 Lagoon converted. I enjoyed AIO concept but I feel too restricted. I decided to converted to the sump option. My goal was to have a 20 plus gallon sump with a grow out section for the fragged corals.

Here’s the last picture of the AIO before tear down. As you can see I made full use of the rear chamber with a hob skimmer, reactor, and refugium.

After years of reefing, coordinated all my ideas into the build and it turned out great. I wanted dual overflow for quietness and no micro bubbles. I did everything myself to building the stand, drilling the holes and setup. Using Reef Octopus HoB 1000 skimmer.

Then I added extra equipment like Apex Classic, DOS, IceCap UV sterilizer and BRS dosers. I’m using the DOS to dose vodka and phytoplankton and BRS to dose Alkalinity and Calcium.

Then the grow out section.

Then I just added the last equipment to the arsenal: Reef Kinetics Reefbot Lab to test my 5 main parameters periodically.

The system has a 1500 watt UPS to run long enough for the home generator to kick on. Also have a refugium section in the sump.
