I don't know why IM stop and can't sell their APS pedestals for their tanks separate from the tank - from a market standpoint of view, is it that they want consumers to buy the tank and APS together and for those that bought only the tanks, they are out of look.

Anyhow, if anyone has a black APS for a 20 Gallon Long they want to offload, PM me.

Wow, I agree, that's odd. I believe Top Shelf in Winter Park, Florida, carries the IM line. Maybe they will sell/ship you a stand alone. Give them a telephone call.

Nope..no luck. IM said they only offer the pedestal for the under 20 gallon line - makes no sense!

Said absolutely cannot and will not sell individual unit for 20 gallon. That is ridiculous. They have them but won't sell them and only if you buy their integrated kit: tank, lid, etc.

I think I might build one - the purpose in my case is to gain height.

I have the pedestal under my 20 and I can tell you that it is only so-so. It's really nothing special. I even pulled the stick on APS logo off it because I thought it looked tacky. You could build something just as nice with 2x4 lumber sanded down and epoxy painted or vinyl wrapped.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I figured I'd just build one off by 2x4 - what is the height of the pedestal?

I'm just a bit irked that IM refuses to offer or wiling to even sell one when I asked.

Height is 3-feet. I just measured mine. (Not to rub it in... lol!)

This must be a new rule, because I remember that you could pick any stand that you wanted separately, I am pretty sure that was at BRS. I purchased my APS stand for my Im Lagoon 25 EXT it was black and I painted it white.
