Installing bulkheads in tall internal overflow

How hard is it to install bulkheads and plumb a somewhat tall internal overflow (a little under 2 feet)? Mainly wondering about the mechanics of getting my arm all the way down to the bottom of the overflow box to screw in the bulkheads…and then subsequently plumbing it. I am getting a custom build that doesn’t have this stuff pre installed. Thanks.

You simply install a length of pipe on the flange side of the bulkhead and use that to lower it into place!

It’s hard to get any leverage. After a frustrating hour trying to tighten the bulkheads inside the overflow of my IM 150 INT, I gave in and bought a basin wrench. Tightened in 10 seconds.

I have the INT, but would get the EXT if I could go back in time! IM makes solid tanks tho, if that’s what you meant.

Just lay the tank on its side . Then just get help to lift the Tank and slide the fittings through the Stand . If you glue a piece of pipe inti it it can also help you with leverage to hold it still while you are tightening the Nut
