Insufficient privileges

Anyone know why it keeps telling me insufficent privileges when I go to reply on threads or my own threads. I am new and I don’t want nice people who have replied to my posts to think I am being rude. I don’t know if for whatever reason it is because I cannot confirm the email because nothing is being sent to my email? Any help would be appreciated. Once again, I am new so I don’t understand the ropes yet of how the site works.
