I came from Hydras which are nearly the same as the Radion. These Reefi have more pop.

I like to run a bluer tank. These have more blue and violet providing the par so that I can keep my blue tank preference without losing valuable par.

Customer Support is top notch.

I have more data from various depths, and blue LEDs only. Will post as I can.

I was going to purchase two ai 26's but they changed their design so now I may buy one of these extremes for my reefer 350. Will one be enough? I only keep a few sps the rest are lps and and zoa's/softies

With only one over your 4 foot tank, you'd have some pretty dim areas at the ends of the tank. I have two over my Reefer XL 425, which has the same width as your 350.

Is that a 73 gallon? What are the dimensions?

Would it still shade if I raised the light a bunch and cranked up the intensity, or does it not work that way?

For mostly LPS/softies and few sps in the center you can try with 1 Extreme. However if you raise it up high enough for 47" spread you will be spilling a lot of light over front and back because tank is only 20" deep. With that said, I think your tank will look much better with 2 Extremes.

Here's a snapshot of my settings. At the time of this snapshot, the lights are just starting to ramp down from the "after" mode so this is close to my approximation of the AB+ spectrum, just with a lot more UV and violet.

How about a FTS w/lights. I will buy a pair myself for my RS 525. I'm curious how much shading you are getting.

I'm guessing that 3 would be more appropriate. With only 2 you'd have to space them pretty far apart, so the center of the tank would likely be dim. Take a look at these photos of a 525XL with 2 Radions or 3 Radions:

For an aquarium of 48 x 24 x 24 (all full grow SPS), would it be better to put 3 lamps on the direction of the width to avoid shading in front and in the back of the aquarium and do i have to combine with T5 to avoid the SPS self-shadowing ?
Thanks

If it were me, I'd place the long axis of the luminaire parallel to the front viewing pane. Two lights should do it for a tank your size but 3, of course, will give you some flexibility. No need for T5s.

It's funny you ask this. I was just taking some FTS pics this weekend with my phone. Then I saw this post. Here you go. You can't see the lights in this shot, they're just out of the frame to the top. I have them hanging about 10" above the water.

I don't think shading is an issue. There is definitely some light dropoff in the corners, but this is an open scape mixed reef, so I'm fine with that.
