So recently I posted in general equipment: tank running hot. My tank always stays at 78 and recently went up to 79+. Couldn’t figure out why the sudden change. This has made me realize how delicate our systems are.

My wife likes to run the air in the house at 74 with the ceiling fan on. Being raised and living in Florida I prefer it a little warmer. She left to go on a girls trip with her friends and I thought, this I my time to be in my comfort zone. So I turned the air up only 1 degree to 75 and turned off the ceiling fan.

Within 12 hours notice the tank temp moving up and a day later stabilized around 79+. Thought maybe a pump was running hot causing the increase in temp.

Well folks, last night I thought to myself, let’s move the air back down to 74 and run the ceiling fan. This morning I checked my temp graf and it slowly moved back down and is now running at it normal spot on 78.

Just thought I’d share this. Some times a miner adjustment can make an impact on our delicate eco system.

Thank you to all who replied to my post Tank Running Hot. Your input, knowledge and advice is always appreciated.

Yea same here. I leave my air at 75 and can't go any warmer or my tank warms up!

When it turns down to 73 at night the tank drops about a degree.

Never thought 1 degree difference would make an impact. That’s what makes this hobby interesting. Always something new to learn.
