I have a Fluval Flex 32.5, which is notorious for having terrible filtration, and it does! I've tried the Intank baskets but didn't like how high i had to have the water level to get good spill over. Was thinking of using a Sicce pro nano 320 for each chamber. Could this work??

I quit running filtration on my IM 20. When the floss gets dirty flow slows and the ATO kicks on overfilling the tank causing fluctuations in salinty.
I'll toss some floss in when I'm blowing rocks off or when I scrape the glass other than that I run zero mechanical filtration and haven't noticed any issues from not filtering.

The key is to use a small amount, just enough to cover the bottom.
This will not overflow. If you stick a big wad in there then yea it will backup rather quickly.
Only other mechanical filtration I use is 2 packets of chemipure blue nano hanging on the cup just below it in chamber 1.
