What would I need to order to get something like the Orange rack photo with the vertical tree attachments and 5 to 6 frag platforms. I would want all of the platforms with holes to accept standard ceramic frag plugs. Thanks

Yes the platforms all have standard frag plug holes for regular ceramic plugs so you don't need to use CFT plugs to make use of the system at all.

You would need to buy Trunks, Platforms and Branches to take full use as seen in the photo. The amount is really up to you.

At a minimum, you'd want to get a 4 pack of Platforms ($19.99 -- Holds 12 standard frags each - 48 total), 4 Pack of Branches (9.99) and 8 Pack of trunks (9.99) (sometimes you want to double stack the trunks, it generally seems that you use more trunks than you do branches/platforms) and of course the rack itself

This would be nice to get you started and then you can always add additional platforms branches and trunks later down the line as needed. They make a tight fight but depending on how crazy your design gets a little glue will make things more permanent and sturdy. I would of course never use glue where the actual connection to the rack happens because it's nice to be able to bust it down for cleaning.

I don't think it would work as I had considered for example just adding the tree mounts to the magnetic racks we are already making but the amount of leverage when adding tree branches and multiple platform is pretty heavy, especially as they extend outward from the base. It needs a strong support base to allow you to branch out and with a magnet would not really work to well when considering adding the weight of all the corals and frags to the platforms etc.

We sell a free-standing base that is about 8.5" wide that you can bury under the substrate/sand/rock, then use multiple trunks to go straight vertical out of the sand.

But we may come up with other mounting mechanisms in the future so not ruling anything out with it to be sure. An obvious one might be to make something that can be epoxy'd to the Rockwork but even epoxy doesn't give the strongest hold when you are talking about adding leverage to it.

Also, do you know if your magnets are strong enough to work through a Rubbermaid stock tank? (I haven’t bought the stock tank yet but figured I’d ask before trying the one you guys sent me already).

I picked up one of these racks with frag tree additions on Black Friday.

First impressions, I like it. Went together nice and easy, endless configurations are possible.
There are 2 sizes on some of the locking mechanisms. The smaller size ones are a little on the fragile side but I just used a little bit of Super glue on those connections to make them hold solid. The majority of the system uses the larger size connections, no glue needed, and nice and solid.

I really like the new pedestal frag plugs that use the smaller holes in the rack to raise them up a bit.

This rack is going to hold the Goni collection. Just have not had the time to transfer everything over.

Looks awesome! Mine is in, but I don't have the space yet to put it to use. ETA now 2 more weeks till upgrade. Magnet is super strong though!
