Introducing goby to pistol shrimp

I ordered a candy cane pistol shrimp when I had a yasha goby. Goby promptly disappeared before the shrimp arrived. Not sure why it was a couple days out of QT. So now I have the shrimp which is creating quite the palace and I have a hi-fin goby coming from Dr. Reef. My question is how to introduce them. Do I just let the goby naturally find the shrimp (hopefully) or do I try, when lights are out to put the goby right in the rock work area of the pistol? Just want to provide the best I can here. Shrimp is about an 1 inch long. Thx

Put them in the tank, the goby will find the shrimp eventually. I never put mine directly in the same place, they paired after a day. When rescaping, the shrimp hid in a rock and goby ran in the opposite side of the tank like a *******. They found eachother the next day. The shrimp is very loud and will snap to call the goby, the goby is not deaf and will hear it.

My gobies, unfortunately the shrimp doesn't like being on photos, but it's a candy cane the size of smaller goby

Also, the goby may still be in your tank, they hide like crazy. My bigger goby was hiding in places that seem to small for him, and I would've never guessed if i didn't spook him out.

The goby will find the shrimp and they will pair, naturally, over time. My shrimp and goby are currently in an observation tank and it took them about four weeks to pair up, as far as I was able to tell.

Also, I second the idea that your yasha could just be hiding really well. Gobies seem to be skittish and expert hiders.

I was hoping the yasha would show but shrimp in there for 2 weeks now and no yasha. But realize it could happen.

If the tank is big enough (even 30-40 gallons will be enough if the scale is right)the gobies will fight, but after that they probably will set up their little territories and try to not see eachother. Afterwards you can catch the shrimpless goby and sell it. You can also pair shrimp gobies of the same species easily, but it will require buying 1 small 1 large or 2 small gobies, and I don't know if online shops tell you the size of the fish they sell.
