Hi! My husband has a 200 gallon saltwater tank. He loves them & it’s a hobby he has enjoyed for many years. We currently have a clown trigger, hippo tang, powder brown tang, coral beauty and a few others. I just joined this site bc of the snail I accidentally brought home from the beach & idk what to do with it!!

Welcome to Reef2Reef!!! I'm not sure about the snail (maybe a Florida horse conch?), but we're glad you're here!

Welcome to the reef!

That appears to be a Florida horse conch which can attain sizes up to 2 feet and predates on other snails (mainly other predatory snails like whelks and such). Just. Its also the state shell of Florida so I assume it would have some levels of protection, I'd take it back to the beach on your next outing.:beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:
