This plant overran my 27 gallon once before. I tore it down and had no lights on for 2 months. Now it's back! I don't know what it is or how to get rid of it...

Thanks guys! I have been researching for quite awhile on this little green devil with no results! I have read that blue knukle hermit crabs will eat this specific species. Otherwise there is the peroxide treatment... Have you heard of results from either method?

I have used the peroxide dip with good results in the past. I did it on a Zoanthid covered rock that had a bad case of hair algae. And, the truth is, those Zoanthids never looked so good as after that.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?

  • I have used a HOB on fish only or quarantine tanks, but not on the display tank.
