Inverts for a nano tank

I'm cycling a nano tank for soft coral and inverts, maybe a few small fish, like gobies. I'm using water and live from my display tank to cycle the aquarium. I've got a rock flower nem that my lemon peel angelfish and peppermint shrimp want to eat that's in a mushroom cage until I get my nano aquarium cycled.

I'm thinking about what type of inverts I could add to my aquarium. I'd like things that I can't have in my display tank. For example, feather duster, hammer coral, sexy shrimp. I'd like to try to keep porcelain crabs or maybe a pistol shrimp and goby pair.

I'm just looking for ideas for some animals that will move in my office aquarium. I'm not wanting anything outrageous just simple and low maintenance that I can watch during my work day. I work from home and my job is stressful so I'm looking for ways to manage it.

I like what you're thinking here. Porcelain and emerald crabs add a cool little critter to a nano tank. Also, a Halloween or blue knuckle crab can make a splash as a centerpiece invert in a smaller tank.

Those inverts you mentioned would be fine in a nano. I think either a Peterson or fire cleaner shrimp and maybe few dwarf hermits as well as some snails would be good additions as well.

I'm planning on getting snails as well. I have a skunk cleaner shrimp in my big aquarium. Shrimp have grown on me. I used to be creeped out by them. I don't want them touching me, but they're neat to watch.

You can always get an urchin! They are fun little guys to have in a tank. Good algae cleaners too. Just be aware they can haul off your frags and anything that isn't established on your tank's aquascape.

I have a Tiger Pistol shrimp, peppermint shrimp and pitchos crabs in my nano tank. Granted, i hardly ever see the Pistol shrimp because him and my watchman goby spend all day renovating their cave and the pithos crabs just chill underneath the sand until night time..... Still awesome to see when they come out!

Add shrimp first because they will be easy to feed. Add snails and small crabs later once your tank gets more established.

Some I keep in my little 8g
Barnacle Blenny

High fin goby Candy Cane pistol pair and also a large nassarius snail. Snail is cool to watch it send its periscope up out if the sand when it smells food

Porcelain crab but it is a filter feeder. I'm dosing phyto in this tank.
